Some pics from our Jazz and blues 'In the Mood' concert last night! It was a challenge to learn - but great to sing, particularly with a Jazz Trio accompaniment. Kevin Gill also played some gorgeous piano arrangements by Gershwin and Jerome Kern. A wonderful evening!

Only a few days until our 'In the Mood' concert at the Ruddock Performing Arts Centre, King Edward's School! Postcode B15 2UA. Come for drinks from 7pm onwards, then the concert starts at 7.30pm

Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Oratorio Competition, sponsored by Birmingham Festival Choral Society. The six talented finalists: Abigail Baylis, soprano, Daniel Marles, tenor, Gabriella Rea Fenyvesi, soprano, Oliver Barker, baritone, Joe Yates, tenor, and Ellen Smith, mezzo-soprano.

Congratulations to the winners of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Oratorio Competition, sponsored by Birmingham Festival Choral Society! 1st place: Ellen Smith, mezzo-soprano. 2nd place: baritone Oliver Barker (in green), 3rd place: tenor Joe Yates (in black). All 6 finalists were accompanied by Jonathan French. Adjudicator David Wynne and BFCS Vice Chair Tracy Piotrowska complete the line-up.
