We are not able to meet for rehearsals at the moment, due to the Coronavirus situation. We hope that it’s not too long before it’s safe for us to start singing together again.
Birmingham Festival Choral Society always welcomes new singers! We hold an Open Rehearsal on the first Wednesday of each term, but you are welcome to come along any week.
Rehearsals take place every Wednesday during term time at Lordswood Girls School, Knightlow Road, Harborne, Birmingham B17 8QB. Click here for map.
We meet from 7.15 to 9.30pm, with a 15 minute coffee break. Our Music Director provides advice on singing technique throughout, and choir members are encouraged to ask if they would like parts repeated or explained more fully.
We aim for a high standard of singing within a friendly environment.

Subscriptions (2019 – 2020 season): £52 a term, or £44 for unwaged singers. Easy payment schemes are available, and the fees are reduced by 5% if paid by the end of September. The subs cover the cost of our MD, accompanist and venue hire, and also subsidise the more expensive concerts in prestigious venues with orchestras.
We have an Equal Opportunities officer who is happy to help as required.
Why not come along?
Come for a couple of rehearsals to try us. If you decide that you would like to join, a friendly Voice Test will then be arranged. Subs are only payable after this, once you have officially joined.
If you would like more information, please Email Recruitment, or fill in the form on this page.
