We are seeking talented singers from across the vocal range, from sopranos to basses. This year BFCS is planning to offer two choral scholarships, worth £1000 each, to singers aged  between 18 and 30.  The scholarships are for one year, beginning in September 2026.

These scholarships will provide valuable experience for singers starting out on a musical career.  Our scholars will be expected to participate fully in the life of our friendly choir, attending rehearsal each Wednesday during term time from 7.15 -9.30pm and contributing to the musicality of their vocal section.  They would have the full support of our Music Director, David Wynne, and other singers in the choir. There would also be the possibility of singing solos /duets/quartets in BFCS concerts when the opportunity arises .

We perform 3 main concerts a year in Birmingham and the Midlands, singing a wide variety of music from the choral repertoire. For examples of past concerts please view the posters on our Concerts page.

In the summer term we will invite singers to apply by E mail to chair@bfcs.org.uk, enclosing a CV and audio recording of between 3 and 5 minutes. We will also request a mobile phone number to facilitate the organisation of auditions at short notice.
